Mourners are preparing to pay their last respects to Chris Kelly. As you already know, the 34-year old was found dead in his home and police suspect it was a drug overdose. Chris Kelly was the duo rapper of Kris Kross with Chris Smith back in the 1990's. This is very sad to realize how time flies and now he's gone.
Family and friends of the late rapper, Chris Kelly are attending the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Let us leave this thought with you, if you cannot rap, you can find something else to do in life. Kelly's cousin allegedly mentioned on the following news video that like a lot of child celebrities, he had a hard time dealing with not being popular like he was, at first. However, there is no excuse for turning to drugs. God gave us intelligence and He expects and wants us to use our brains and other abilities He has given to us. God has a plan for all of our lives and we sincerely feel it is not His will for us to live our lives rapping and/or dancing, rather than doing something else to become successful in life. Therefore, it is time that all African Americans whom are so distraught of not ever being a star to turn to Jesus and ask Him want He wants them to do and then, just go for it. It may not be easy at first, but life is never easy, we just have be creative and stop putting ourselves in a category as only being known as rappers, singers and hip hop celebrities. For too long, some African Americans have not exercise various abilities outside of the rap/hip hop music industry. Also, let us realize this fact, God is so much greater than rap and hip hop and it is He who should be worshiped, never should we feel life is over, because a certain phase in our life is not what it used to be.
